How to use & dosage
Take one capsule a day, or as advised by a healthcare professional. For best absorption, we recommend taking Iron Lady on an empty stomach in the morning with a full glass of water - or with food if that's gentler on your stomach. If taking it fasted, wait 30–60 minutes before having coffee or tea, as both can reduce how well the iron is absorbed.
Avoid taking Iron Lady at the same time of day as tea, coffee, soft drinks, or dairy products, and avoid taking it alongside calcium-containing supplements (e.g. Create, Nurture, Embrace) at the same time - calcium can also reduce iron absorption.
One capsule (15 mg) covers 100% of the recommended daily intake for women aged 18–50 (NNR 2023) and is the right amount for most women. If a healthcare professional has recommended a higher dose based on a blood test, up to 4 capsules a day may be taken - but any dose above 1 capsule a day should always be set by a doctor or midwife.
How long to take it depends on why you're taking it. For an ongoing need - heavy periods or intense exercise, for example - Iron Lady can stay part of your daily routine for as long as the need is there. If it was recommended after a blood test, follow your healthcare professional's guidance; iron status is generally reassessed with a follow-up blood test after 3–6 months.

At one capsule a day, every combination stays comfortably within the daily upper limit - taking more than 60 mg of iron a day in total is not recommended. If a healthcare professional has advised 3 or more capsules alongside Create, combined intake may pass the tolerable upper limit; a dose like this should only be taken under medical guidance, since iron can build up in the body.
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet.
