BUILT AROUND THE STAGE

More is not the goal. The right support for now is.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding are not one fixed nutritional stage. Venja separates the journey into clear daily routines, with an equally clear point to move from one to the next.

  1. A clear purpose at each stage

Each core pack is designed for a defined part of the pregnancy or breastfeeding journey, so it is easier to understand what fits now and what follows next.

  2. The routine changes with the stage

Prepare, Create and Nurture are separate daily packs because nutritional priorities do not stay identical from preconception through breastfeeding.

  3. One considered daily pack

The core products organise the daily supplement routine into one pack, with the ingredients and amounts considered together for that stage.

  4. More is not automatically better

Two Venja daily packs should not be combined. Additional supplements, especially extra iron, need individual consideration during pregnancy.

BEFORE YOU START

Questions about choosing and switching

The simple version: choose one core daily pack for your current stage. If your situation or clinical advice is different, speak with your healthcare professional before changing your routine.

Which vitaminpack fits each stage?

It depends on your stage. Prepare is for trying to conceive and the first trimester, Create for the second and third trimester, and Nurture for breastfeeding. Not sure where you are?

Take the quiz, and you can change your pack in your account as you move through each stage.

Why do I need a different pack at each stage, instead of one prenatal throughout?

Because your body asks for different things as you go. Early pregnancy leans on folate, later pregnancy on DHA and iron as your baby grows, and breastfeeding draws on your calcium and other stores. Each pack is formulated for its stage rather than one formula stretched across all of them.

When do I switch from one pack to the next?

Most women move from Prepare to Create around week 14, then from Create to Nurture once their baby arrives and they are breastfeeding.

When breastfeeding ends, you return to Essential. You can switch in your account whenever you are ready, and your midwife can guide the timing.

When should I start taking Prepare?

There's no such thing as starting too early. The earliest weeks, when folate matters most for your baby's development, often pass before you know for certain you are pregnant.

So if pregnancy is anywhere on the horizon, it is worth starting Prepare now rather than waiting for a positive test. The sooner you begin, the more of that early window your body is already supported through.

Do these packs contain iron, and can I add an iron supplement?

Create and Prepare include iron for pregnancy, so there is no need to add a separate iron supplement such as Iron Lady on top of them, unless adviced by a doctor or a midwife.

Nurture is iron-free by design, as most women do not need extra iron while breastfeeding. If you have been advised to take iron, speak to your doctor.

Is the algae oil safe in pregnancy, and what is the peppermint about?

Yes. These packs use algae oil as a vegan source of DHA, which supports your baby's brain and eye development.

Create's algae oil has a natural peppermint flavour that many women find easier when nausea lingers. It is suitable for pregnancy, and every batch is tested by an independent lab.
